Privacy Policy

Cookies

Cookies are little files this site puts on your computer, to help me see how many people have visited, which pages they’ve read and so on.

I have a footer that tells you about these cookies, and by visiting Cecilia’s List you are implying consent for my site to put cookies on your computer or device.

If you would prefer not to download cookies, then you can refuse. It’s very easy to do and there are thorough instructions on www.aboutcookies.org.

Plugins

I use third-party WordPress plugins such as JetPack, Google Analytics, some sharing buttons and so on, which use anonymised information such as the length of time you spend reading pages, what country you’re in, and which links you’ve clicked. This information helps me find out which posts I’ve written are most popular, and that informs my decisions about what to write for Cecilia’s List in future.

I do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my website. I do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, e-mail address, or other contact details.

There is a “subscribe to posts/comments by e-mail” WordPress feature. This lets me see your e-mail address, but nothing else. I don’t share this information with anyone, nor do I take an electronic copy of it, and this plugin doesn’t do anything else.

E-mail Consent and Music Submission

If you e-mail me or fill out the Submit Music form, you imply permission for me to e-mail you back. I won’t add you to any newsletters without your consent, or share your data with any other entity without your permission. You also imply permission for me to update this site with impersonal information, such as links to your own website or pieces you have written. That’s kind of the point of the site.

Data About Your Data

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete any personal information that I hold. You can ask for this via e-mailing me at kathryn@ceciliaslist.org.
